Issey Miyake was a Japanese fashion designer who used his formidable knowledge to create flawless designs in luxury clothing. He knew the art of mixing eastern and western traits in fashion and innovation. Miyake studied graphic design and became a tailor after coming to Paris. He then started Tokyo Studio. In 1973, he displayed his own collection of luxury outfits in a Paris group fashion show. The brand continued to grow and the Japan Arts Association, in 2006, awarded Miyake a Premium Imperiale for commendable achievements in the arts. The designer was awarded prestigious and expensive awards.
Apart from clothing, the designer is known for launching quality fragrances. The brand launched its first fragrances in 1992. L’eau d’Issey was one of the earliest fragrances launched by the company. The scent for women has a floral aquatic accord. Top notes are melon, freesia, calone, cyclamen, lotus, rose, and rose water. The middle notes are lily, lily-of-the-valley, water peony, and carnation. On the other hand, the base notes are exotic woods, tuberose, amber, sandalwood, osmanthus, and musk.
